Information You Submit
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Platte County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may handle the query under a separate privacy policy, so its terms should be reviewed before submitting personal information.
If a visitor sends an email or another contact message, the supplied name, address, and message content may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. Contact information is not shared outside the organization unless that is needed to deliver the requested response or the law requires disclosure.
Technical Data Collected
Routine server and measurement systems can collect limited technical details when a page loads. This data helps operate the site and identify errors. It may include:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device class and operating system;
- pages viewed and approximate time spent;
- the referring page or website, when supplied; and
- date and time records for the visit.
Cookies or similar browser storage may measure how visitors use the pages. A browser can block or remove cookies, though some functions may then work differently.
How Data Is Used
Collected information supports ordinary site operations. It may be used to:
- keep pages available and responsive;
- send a search request to the selected partner;
- measure which resources visitors use;

- display advertising that may reflect general interests.
Links and Outside Services
Pages link to Platte County release records, sheriff and corrections resources, government portals, court systems, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination controls its own collection and use of data. This privacy notice does not govern those outside systems.
Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technology on their own networks to measure activity across sites and select ads. That processing occurs on provider systems and is subject to provider choices and policies.

Personal information is not sold by this site. Limited data may reach the following parties when needed for the described functions:

- law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order.
Security Practices
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information under this site’s control. No internet service, electronic transmission, or storage system is fully secure. Platte County Released Inmates therefore cannot promise that data will never be viewed, changed, lost, or accessed without permission.
Visitors Under Eighteen
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a visitor may ask for a copy of personal information held by this site, request correction of inaccurate data, seek deletion, or object to certain processing. These choices do not control records held by the Platte County Sheriff, Missouri courts, MODOC, or another linked provider. Requests concerning government records must go to the relevant records custodian.

This privacy notice may change as site practices, service providers, or legal duties change. A revised version becomes effective when posted here with an updated effective date.
